'Latrinalia', 2020. Final Major Project outcome rom UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
The often offensive graffiti to be found in toilet cubicles has been utilised to highlight and signpost users to services which help women cope with all types of abuse. It's an advert which also raises awareness by using 'latrinalia' as a double take, incorporating statistics highlighting some of the issues faced.
My original intention for this piece was to design it as an interactive installation showing the idea in situ, in a toilet cubicle. Unfortunately the end of my foundation was brought to an abrupt end due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
